Police deal with a series of road accidents

A car sits on top of a wall after an accident today at the junction of Lovers Lane and South Road.

Police dealt with a series of road accidents over the last 24 hours — including this one when a car managed to get stuck on top of a wall.The jeep managed to mount the kerb and the wall at the junction of Lover's Lane and South Road this morning. No one was injured in the incident, however traffic was delayed while a tow truck removed it.A Police spokesman said: "At 12.17pm Police responded to a road traffic collision that took place at the junction of South Road and Lover's Lane in Paget."It appears that one vehicle was exiting Lover's Lane, and another was on South Road when they collided."As a result one car ended upon a wall on Lovers Lane. No one was injured but both vehicles were extensively damaged. An investigation into this incident is underway."At about 4.25pm yesterday, police were called to the junction of Somerset Road and Scaur Hill Drive, in Sandys, after a car traveling east along Somerset Road collided with a wall. The 39-year-old driver was not injured.And at 2.27am yesterday, a car and a truck collided at the junction of North Shore Road and Store Hill, in Hamilton Parish. The 37-year-old car driver and the 44-year-old truck driver were not injured.A few minutes after 2pm yesterday, a car collided with a wall at the junction of Harrington Sound Road and Wilkinson Avenue, in Hamilton Parish.“Details are unclear at this time but it appears that the car was traveling along Harrington Sound Road when it collided with a wall. The driver left the scene before first responders arrived and at this time his injures are unknown. The car received extensive damage.
