Bermuda cricket teams faces injury crisis

Bermuda are facing an injury crisis ahead of the first of three games that they will play against the senior UAE team over the next four days. With Kyle Hodsoll taking longer than expected to recover from an ankle injury, David Moore is also facing up to the possibility that he'll also be without Rodney Trott, Chris Foggo, and Jim West.Trott was injured in yesterday's win over the UAE under-19s when he cut his leg badly on a table during the lunch interval and was taken to hospital to have stitches. After scoring an invaluable 25 not out at the end of his side's innings, Trott was unable to take any further part in the game, and there is the strong possibility that his tour could be over.West and Foggo meanwhile are ill with the flu, meaning Bermuda could have just 11 fit players going into the hardest part of the tour.Having beaten the under-19s twice so far, Bermuda were hoping to take that momentum, along with their strongest team, into the games against a UAE side that beat them five times over the summer. As it stands though, bowlers such as Malachi Jones and Stefan Kelly could have to play all five games without a rest, which would be asking a lot.Bermuda's next game against UAE begins at 2am on Friday, Bermuda time, and you can follow all the action live on our website by clicking on the Follow It Live icon on the menu bar.
