Motorist held after cars collide

A man was arrested for impaired driving after a traffic accident in St. George’s.The crash happened at the junction of Mullet Bay Road and Echo Lane, at about 9.55pm Wednesday.A Police spokesman said: “It appears that one vehicle was travelling along Mullet Bay Road while the other was travelling along Echo Lane when they collided at the junction.“The drivers of both cars were not injured; however the passenger of one of the cars, a 37-year-old Warwick woman, complained of back pain.”A 46-year-old Devonshire man was held by police after failing a breath test for alcohol.A single vehicle accident earlier that day left a 46-year-old St George’s woman unhurt, but her car badly damaged.The car struck a wall on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton Parish, near the junction with Cedarberry Drive around 2.15pm.
