Baby toy recalled

Baby products manufacturer Graco has recalled one of its small toys because it may pose ?a choking hazard? to infants.

The Department of Consumer Affairs this week issued the recall locally of Bumble Bee Toys with blue antennae, while the two largest retailers said they did not stock it.

The toy was marketed as a stand alone or as an attachment to Graco high chairs and walkers.

The consumer affairs department said: ?We advise consumers to remove the item from the high chair or the mobile entertainer as the blue antennae on the Bumble Bee Toy can break, posing a choking hazard to young children.?

Staff at Gibbons Company said this week they did not stock the brand.

Carol Bromby, owner of Toys & Stuff, said none of the recalled items was currently on sale.

But anyone who believed they had bought the product from her store should bring it in for exchange.

?I have the Bumble Bee Toy, but the ones with the yellow antennae, which are very soft,? she said.

The model numbers of the recalled products are: Graco High Chairs: 3656CUB, 3658FKB, 3659KER, 3659NGS 3660WNN and 35605. The Graco Tot Wheels Mobile Entertainer: 45220TM, 4522TOTM, 4521ALP, 35628 and 4512FUN.
