A 19-year-old man was tonight being treated in hospital after being shot in an incident in the White Hill area of Sandys.

Police were called to the scene at about 6.35 p.m. and the injured teenager was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

A Police spokesman said: “An active investigation into this incident is underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011.

“Alternatively, witnesses or anyone with any information are encouraged to call the independent, confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline at 800-8477.”
