Breaking News: Adderley to take on Crockwell

The United Bermuda Party today rolled out Erwin Adderley as its adopted candidate for Pembroke West.

Mr. Adderley, an MP from 1997 to 2003, will likely run against former UBP MP Shawn Crockwell, of Bermuda Democratic Alliance, in the seat which has traditionally been a UBP stronghold.

He was unveiled at Admiralty House Park this morning, with Opposition Leader Kim Swan telling the media Bermuda needs experience not an experiment as it gets to grips with its worst economic and social crisis since the Second World War.

Mr. Adderley said he has returned to politics to try to address why people who are not happy with the Progressive Labour Party cannot bring themselves to vote for the UBP.
