Breaking News: Bermudian is shot dead in New York

A 30-year-old Bermudian man was gunned down in Queens, New York, yesterday afternoon.Vaughan Carlos Allen, known as Bruggles, was shot multiple times in the torso just before 4pm on 224th Street. He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, according to a New York Police Department spokesman.Mr Allen was with a 28-year-old male friend, also Bermudian, who was shot and critically injured. It is understood the pair had just left Mr Allen’s apartment when the attack happened. The friend is being treated at Jamaica Hospital but police have not released his name.

The police spokesman told The Royal Gazette:?“It happened at 3.58pm on November 29. We received a 911 call of a male shot...within the confines of the 105th precinct. When we arrived there were two individuals who were shot at the location.”
