The rate of inflation was measured at two percent in August, figures released this morning show.

It is a slight drop on the 2.3 percent rate in July, according to Government’s consumer price index statistics.

The health and personal care sector was the largest contributor to the increase and the food and rent sectors also impacted strongly on the annual rate of inflation.
