Breaking News: Mother appeals for help to catch son's killer
The mother of Good Friday murder victim Kimwandae Walker today made an emotional appeal for help to catch his killer.
Shelley Walker told the media “words cannot describe the devastation” her family has suffered since he was shot in front of his two young children on the Victor Scott school field.
Breaking down in tears, she urged members of the community who may know the culprits to ?“speak up — just because it’s the right thing to do”.
The slaying took place in broad daylight as Mr Walker, along with numerous other families, flew Easter kites on the field.
Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro said there were around 40 to 60 people present. However, Police have only gathered nine witness statements.
Three men have been arrested and bailed during the inquiry, but no-one has been charged.
He joined Ms Walker’s call to the public to come forward with any information that could help crack the case.
