An accident has caused serious traffic delays for commuters leaving Hamilton.

Traffic on East Broadway has slowed to a crawl following the collision on Rural Hill.

One man is believed to have been injured in the collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police are now directing traffic away from the accident scene. Motorists are also backed up on Trimingham Hill, The Lane and along South Road to the east of the roundabout.

The entrance to Berry Hill Road is also currently closed, adding to the build-up.
