Chamber of Commerce president Peter Everson has appeared in court charged with driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Everson, 52, of Longford Road, Warwick, is also accused of failing to provide a breath sample when requested to do so by a Police officer in the alleged incident in Harbour Road, on December 10 last year.

At Magistrates' Court yesterday, Everson entered a plea of not guilty to both charges.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner adjourned the case to Friday, February 16, for trial.
