Plans for a waterpark at Dockyard were revealed by Premier Ewart Brown this week.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28: Two businessmen who have been working to bring a water park to Bermuda claimed this afternoon that they were stunned when the Premier announced a proposed park from another developer.
Jamal Hawker and Roy Wenting, of J & R Attractions, claim they have repeatedly met with Government about a proposed water park, but while the idea was praised, they were told there was no land available.
“While we did not expect to be guaranteed the granting of this proposal, we are shocked by the utter disregard for our plans,” said Mr. Hawker.
Premier Ewart Brown revealed early plans for a waterpark, put forward by Bermuda Family Entertainment Ltd., on Tuesday.
