A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after he crashed his bike into a tree last night.

The accident happened on East Broadway, near the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute just after 7 p.m.

A Police spokesman said the rider was travelling out of the city when he appeared to have lost control of his bike.

The man was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with serious facial injuries. He was said to be resting comfortably on a general ward last night.
