Ace and NTB form partnership
Seven local students will be given the opportunity to better their technical skills, thanks to a new programme funded by the Ace Foundation.
Tech Quest 2000, a project created in conjunction with the National Training Board (NTB), helps candidates obtain specialist university level degrees in technology, technology education, technology management and workforce development.
Participants are selected through direct recruitment according to their potential to complete the studies successfully, personally benefit from a professional qualification and contribute to the development of others.
Bermudians looking to enter the programme must meet its eligibility criteria and be prepared to pursue one of seven technical career pathway options.
Executive director of the Ace Foundation, Ralph Richardson, said the project will assist in maintaining the Island's technical infrastructure.
"Through Tech Quest 200, Ace and the NTB are providing Bermudians with an avenue to realise their full potential and assist them in becoming technology leaders."
Executive director of the NTB, Michael Stowe, said he was excited about the project and said it would build on the NTB's current success which has seen some 200 students travel abroad for technical studies.
