Afun day out for the entire family
Families are invited to a Family Fun Day in Victoria Park today to encourage bonding between parents and their children.
The event is being organised by Families First, a branch of The Childcare Placement Board of the Ministry of Health and Family Services.
?The afternoon will include fun simple activities like reading, face painting, games and crafts, as well as performances by PRIDE (Parent Resource Institute for Drug Education), Bermuda Youth Jazz Ensemble and the Gombeys,? a spokesperson from the Family Fun Day said.
Every activity in the fair, including a fun castle and ball pit will be completely free of charge.
The Family Fun Day lasts from noon to 4.30 p.m. and the only requirement is that children should be accompanied by their parents so they can take part in the activities together.
The Scouts, the Boys Brigade and The Family Centre will promise to offer ?fun activities for children and parents and provide information about their organisations to interested persons?.
?Families First held a poetry competition earlier this year and have published a book of the 28 entries they received. Copies of the book will be available for sale at $7.50 each,? the spokesperson said.
