Police are still seeking witnesses for Canadian tourist Levy Shekhter, 62, who drowned at Horseshoe Bay last Tuesday.Police said at the time Mr. Shekhter had suffered a suspected heart attack but in a Press release later they said he had drowned.

Building site raided

Thieves broke into a construction site in Devonshire and stole thousands of dollars worth of housing fixtures.

Police were told someone entered the building site on Bandroom Lane in Devonshire sometime over the weekend and stole three 24x36 inch PVC windows and one 36x48 inch PVC window, eight cream-coloured decorative light fixtures, two oval-shaped port lights and two arm sensor lights.

Burglar spotted

A startled home owner called Police after seeing a burglar leaving his apartment at Camden Road North, Paget at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

He said he had locked the home after leaving 12 hours earlier and shouted at the burglar who ran off.
