Breaking News: British Airways resumes flights
Passengers stranded in Bermuda after last night’s British Airways flight to London was cancelled have been re-booked to fly out this evening.
And, according to BA spokeswoman Sallie Singleton, travellers booked to fly out this evening will be able to leave as planned.
The news comes after 103 would-be travellers from last night were forced to return to their homes or book into hotels as volcanic ash grounded flights across the UK and Europe.
Earlier this afternoon the British Aviation Authority reopened British airspace.
According to Ms Singleton there is enough space on the plane to fit all those affected by Sunday’s cancellation and those who are booked to fly out this evening.
Tonight’s flight to Gatwick Airport is set to leave Bermuda at 8.05 p.m.
