Gina Tucker will not be the principal of Francis Patton Primary School in September, it was announced this afternoon.

In a statement the Ministry of Education said Dr. Tucker would continue in her post as Policy and Project Officer within the Department of Education.

It was announced in March that Dr. Tucker would be the new head of Francis Patton as part of a reshuffle of principals. She was to replace Gloria Martin, who will be in the new head of Dalton E. Tucker.

The school’s Parent Teacher Association had protested the change and appealed for parents to attend a meeting to voice their concerns over the appointment.
