Mechanical problems have caused British Airways flights to and from the Island to be cancelled today.

A British Airways spokesperson said: “We had experienced mechanical problems, and as a result the flight to Bermuda has been cancelled, so the flight leaving Bermuda was also cancelled.

“We’re asking anyone with tickets booked on these flights to re-book by calling 1-800-AIRWAYS (247-9297).”

The airline expects flights tomorrow to proceed as scheduled however the spokesperson warned that tomorrow’s flights are already almost full.
