Breaking News: Police investigate two more gunshot reports
Police are investigating two reports of gunshots — in Smith’s and Sandys – yesterday.
Officers were called to Club Road, in Smith’s, after a report of a gunshot at about 10.45 p.m. A Police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene a short time later and conducted a thorough search of the vicinity.
“Forensic evidence found suggested that a firearm had been discharged, however no one has reported being injured.”
In another incident, Police received a report of a gunshot in Cambridge Road, Sandys, at 12.45 a.m. The spokesman said: “Police attended the scene a short time later and conducted a thorough search of the vicinity. Forensic evidence found subsequently suggested that a firearm had been discharged; however no one has reported being injured.”
The incidents follow the shooting murder of father-of-three James (Junior) Lawes, 26, who was gunned down in Hamilton on Friday. Two other men were also injured in the drive-by shooting — 26-year-old Jamaican Maurice Martin and 49-year-old Bermudian Robin Stovell.
