Three Bermuda Telephone Company workers have been dismissed from their posts following the discovery of ?irregular practices? within one of the departments of BTC .

The announcement was made in a brief statement yesterday.

The company said KPMG is assisting with the ongoing investigation into the irregular practices that have been identified.

Francis Mussenden, BTC president and CEO of the company, which has its headquarters on Victoria Street, said: ?Integrity is one of the core values of BTC and we will take swift action whenever we become aware that this value has been breached.?

The company said it could not release any further information at this time because of the ongoing investigation.
