The Bermuda Careers Centre is now part of the Ministry of Education and Development, MPs heard yesterday.
Education Minister Terry Lister (pictured) told the House of Assembly that the centre offers workshops, career assessments, employment placement, interview skills workshops and help with university applications.
The centre helps students and members of the community looking to start or change careers in Bermuda. Mr. Lister also noted that the centre's website www.bdacareers.bm receives 5,000 hits a month from local and international students and that an increasing number of mature adults are using the BCC. He felt the numbers illustrated the demand for career advice and hoped more people would avail themselves of the services.
