West End commuters face further rush hour hold-ups on their way into Hamilton this week.

Only one lane will be open on a stretch of East Broadway, due to safety concerns over construction work opposite the Shell gas station.

A Government spokesman said the partial closure of the inside lane into Hamilton, introduced yesterday, would remain in place until repairs were completed.

?It is anticipated that the interruption of traffic flow will continue for the remainder of the week,? he added.
