Construction worker under intensive care

A construction worker is recovering in intensive care after falling 15 feet from a ladder.The 52-year-old man from Warwick was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after the accident at the Fairmont Southampton hotel on Tuesday afternoon.A Police spokesman said: "It appears that the victim was working on a ladder when he fell approximately 15 feet to the ground, sustaining serious facial injuries and a possible broken left wrist."

The 52-year-old man from Warwick was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after the accident at the Fairmont Southampton hotel on Tuesday afternoon.
A Police spokesman said: "It appears that the victim was working on a ladder when he fell approximately 15 feet to the ground, sustaining serious facial injuries and a possible broken left wrist."
He added: "The Government health and safety officer is aware of this incident. Inquiries are under way."
A hospital spokeswoman said last night that the man remained in the intensive care unit in a stable condition.
