A South Shore resort and tennis club is seeking to build an extra ten luxury cottages on its land.

The Coral Beach and Tennis Club, off South Road in Paget, has lodged an application to erect ten two-storey cottages in a central position on the resort.

If given approval it will entail the demolition of a number of old sheds and the "Stowaways" building.

In plans put forward by Peppercorn Development Ltd, the proposed cottages have a basement with various storage rooms, a ground floor featuring living space and an upper floor with two en suite bedrooms.

Twelve additional car park spaces and an access road will also be created, and a number of small ancillary buildings put in place if the planning application, which is to be considered by the Development Applications Board, gets approved.
