Distraught Bermudian mother to appear on Larry King special
A Bermudian mother of two missing boys will be seen around the world tonight on CNN's Larry King.
Jean Montagne will appear on the three-hour "Larry King Live" special.
CNN confirmed that Mrs. Montagne was chosen to talk about her agonising search for her sons, Jamel and Jashun Thomas. The two boys, 17 and 19, have been missing for the last six days in New Orleans.
"I stay on the computer e-mailing the pictures to addresses," she wrote to The Royal Gazette.
Mrs. Montagne, who was visiting Philadelphia yesterday, complained about the US government's poor response to the catastrophic Hurricane Katrina.
"The US government knew this was going to happen but left them there. The rich people got out but the poor were left there like rats," she said.
She also called on Bermudians to help her.
"Can you ask the public to donate funds? I need funds to continue searching," she said.
Mrs. Montagne plans to return to Bermuda on Wednesday, but plans a return visit to the US to visit shelters where the boys may be staying.
A third Bermudian, Sarah Rigeley and her two sons aged ten and six, are still missing in Gulfport, her mother Deborah Pires said yesterday.
The body of Roger Mayne, brother of Mayne's Furniture owner Billy Mayne, which was feared lost in Gulfport, Mississippi, has been found.
Daughter Sharon DeSilva was able to contact her stepmother who said Mr. Mayne's embalmed remains were being stored in an air-conditioned trailer, but must be buried by Wednesday.
