Driver?s case to be heard in Supreme Court

A man who appeared at Magistrates' Court this week charged with motoring offences was told that his case would be heard at Supreme Court.

Theron Williams, 20, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Sebastian Jose DeMorias when driving a motor vehicle while impaired in Warwick on January 30 this year.

On that same date, he is accused of causing actual bodily harm to Etel Dasilva while driving a vehicle on Middle Road, Warwick, in a manner dangerous to others.

Senior Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo said the matters are indictable, which means they must be heard before the higher court. Williams was not required to enter a plea.

The matter was adjourned until August 30, when it will come back before Magistrates' Court for mention.

The defendant, of Town Hill Road, Smith's, was granted $2,000 bail.
