End to End walkers prepare to get set
Eager participants in this year's End to End walk queued outside the lobby of the Bank of Bermuda Wednesday evening to begin event registration.
Organisers said they are still uncertain what the total number of participants will be as registration will continue through Saturday morning, but the numbers were "encouraging".
This year's End to End is open to walkers, cyclists and kayakers and there is also an Itsy Bitsy Walk for children between the ages of three and seven.
For End to Enders, registration will open at 6.45 a.m. in St. George's for an 8 a.m. start.
Middle to End walkers can register from 9.45 a.m. at the Bank of Bermuda on Front Street for an 11 a.m. start, while cyclists participating in Middle to End can register at Church Bay from 8.30 a.m. and will start a half hour after that.
Organisers would like to remind cyclists they must wear a helmet in order to participate.
Kayakers are asked to check the End to End hotline (292-6992) after 7 a.m. tomorrow to confirm that the weather conditions are suitable for the paddle to Dockyard.
The Itsy Bitsy walk begins at Dockyard at noon.
The selected charities for this year's event are Project Action, Bermuda Autism Support and Education Society, Youth Net and Open Airways.
Pledge forms are still available at all branches of the Bank of Bermuda, BTC Mobility counters, Sportseller, Sports Locker and all Esso Tigermarts.
