Question: Are you planning to vote?
Answer: I don't want to vote but I know I have to because it's my right. I might do it but haven't decided fully. But I feel that the way things are going, nothing's going to change. I only see politicians when it is election time and if that. You see them on the road, you speak to them but they don't really say anything to you. What is the point of voting if no one is going to help you? There isn't really a difference between the parties.
Q: Are you a politically aware person?
A: Sometimes I feel myself to be a politically aware person, when I think it is going to affect me. There are discussions, when subjects come up. I talk about things with my family and friends. I want to vote on the basis of party but you've also got to vote for the individual that represents you.
Q: What's your assessment of nearly five years of Progressive Labour Party Government?
A: I think the Government did good being that they had a lot of stuff to fix. But it's going to take some time, if they do win again. Everything can't happen overnight. I couldn't even tell you what their biggest success is. I would say, some people feel they let them down. After all the hype, they really didn't do enough. Our expectations weren't met.
Q: What's your opinion of the so-called new United Bermuda Party?
A: Everybody's got their chance. When you get your chance, you do what you're supposed to do. If you don't do that, you have to go. I think they had a chance for the amount of years that they were in and if they do win this one then they know what they have to do to keep the people happy. If they don't, I guess they'll be good and won't come back in again.
Q: What is first on your wish-list of things that you would like to see the next government implement?
A: I would like to see the next Government put something into youth interests because there is nothing for the youth to do. What can we do? I see a lot of the youths under 18 doing nothing at all and what can they do? Go ahead and sit off, if they do their homework they do their homework, but they sit on the wall, sit off with their boys. If there were extracurriculars that were sponsored by Government that would be good.
Q: What is the most crucial issue affecting Bermuda right now?
A: I wouldn't say that crimes are high. It has ups and downs, just like everywhere else. Affordable housing would be nice. I know a lot of people who can't get rentals. They can't afford it because it's too high.
