Immigration employees complete course
Seventeen employees from the Department of Immigration were awarded Immigration Legal Training certificates after completing the 21-week Legal Executives Paralegal programme.
The course was held at the Bermuda College during the Spring and Summer semesters. Local legal professionals including Melvin Douglas, Martin Brewer, Brian Calhoun and Jerome Dill presented the course.
Labour, Home Affairs and Public Safety Minister Randolph Horton and John Wells, president of ILEX, presented the employees with their certificates.
Chief Immigration Officer Rozy Azhar (pictured) attended the ceremony and spoke of her staff?s commitment and dedication during the training session.
Also on hand to offer congratulations were College officials including vice president and chief academic officer Dr. Larita Alford and director for the Centre of Professional and Career Education, Dr. Eugenie Simmons.
