Man?s brother had no warrants in his name
A brother of Jason Carvello, whose name came up in Magistrates Court after his sibling used it as an alias to try and avoid arrest for breaching probation, is not wanted by Police.
Michael Carvello has checked with the prosecution services and been unable to determine how his name became entwined with his brother's, as happened at Plea Court last Friday.
His 23-year-old brother appeared and admitted trying to trick officers by pretending to be his brother only to find himself being arrested regardless because of another warrant.
Checks with the Department of Public Prosecutions give Mr. Carvello the all clear.
The Royal Gazette correctly reported court proceedings but is happy to clarify that Michael Carvello is not wanted on any Police matter.
