Market set to continue
The weekly Farmers? Market at the Bulls Head car park in Hamilton is set to continue at least until August. A number of vendors are continuing to show up and farmer Tom Wadson said his stall would likely last at least another month as there was still plenty of fresh, locally grown produce to sell.
The long-term future of the Farmers? Market is being considered by the Corporation of Hamilton, which has asked interested parties for ideas for the site.
It is possible that the Corporation will continue with the Farmers? Market concept, which has been running for a number of years and allows Bermudian producers to sell their wares on Saturday mornings.
Mr. Wadson said: ?We are going to continue to be there and there are still a few other vendors coming along. We still have a full line of things to sell and we will keep going until we run out of stuff. I?d say we have got at least one more month to go.?
And with a number of the smaller stall holders also continuing to show up on Saturday mornings the public is being encouraged to keep patronising the market, which runs from 8 a.m to noon each week.
