Medical scholarship available to Bermudians

The Bermuda TB Cancer & Health Association wants to encourage students to get involved in medical research by offering a $15,000 scholarship.

The association has been able to raise the funding for the Medical Radiation Sciences Scholarship Award through its partnerships with key business and community support.

The award, distributed annually, will be given to a qualified student pursuing a career in the medical field through an acceptable programme of study.

The association believes that investing in Bermuda's youth will ensure the continued excellence in health care, a statement said.

"The Association is delighted to be able to offer financial assistance to bright Bermudians," said Judy Simons, president of The Bermuda TB, Cancer & Health Association. "We hope this scholarship will help a student accelerate their dreams of furthering their education and lead to a career in this rapidly expanding area of health care."

Scholarship applications can be picked up at 46 Point Finger Road, Paget, or call 236-1001, ext.1016 for more information.
