Motorist facing charges after collision
A motorist involved in a serious road crash which injured a father and daughter on Monday is to appear in court, Police said yesterday. The man, who was driving a lime-green Rover car along North Shore Road in Devonshire when it collided with a Yamaha motorcycle, is expected to be charged with a list of offences. Police spokesman Dwayne Caines said yesterday: "More than likely it is going to be a series of charges along the lines of speeding and reckless driving. I'm sure he is going to have a litany of charges and will appear at court at a future date."
The 47-year-old motorcyclist, believed to be a local fisherman, suffering serious head injuries and was rushed to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
His 16-year-old daughter, who was on the back of the bike, also went to hospital with serious lacerations to her arm.
The man was moved to a general ward at the hospital on Tuesday and the girl to a children's ward. Both were said to be in a stable condition.
