No decisions yet on Ahad's fate
Government is yet to make a final decision about the future of education officer Abdallah Ahad.
Mr. Ahad's qualifications are being probed by the Public Service Commission after questions about his academic credentials emerged three months ago.
Mr. Ahad was required to submit proof of his qualifications after the Bermuda Sun reported that his purported alma maters - Harvard and Cambridge College - had never heard of him.
The paper also reported that the university where Mr. Ahad claimed to have obtained a PhD no longer exists, but previously sold degrees online.
Mr. Ahad was required to present proof of his qualifications to the Ministry of Education which set about on its own investigations and sent a report to the PSC at the end of May.
He has continued in his position as Government IT Education Officer pending the results of the PSC's deliberations.
And the former Bermuda College professor has insisted he has done nothing wrong.
"I don't talk to the press about the Public Service Commission," said Nelda Simons who chairs the PSC.
Education Minister Terry Lister indicated yesterday that the matter was still with the PSC.
