Paula Cox gets honorary degree
The Minister of Finance Paula Coxwas praised in the House of Assembly by one of her fellow MPs after receiving an honorary degree from Wheelock College.
Environment Minister Neletha Butterfield said she was honoured to have been at the ceremony at the college in Boston on May 14.
Ms Cox was one of three honorary degree recipients.
The commencement programme stated: ?She is a committed proponent of strengthening education in Bermuda through partnerships with colleges and businesses and a strong advocate and supporter of Wheelock College programmes in Bermuda.?
Ms Butterfield said: ?Honorary degrees are bestowed on you for your work you?ve done throughout your life. Ms Cox is very humbled by this.?
Twenty-six Bermudian students also graduated from the College that weekend. They received their Master?s Degree in Elementary Education.
