Organisers have been forced to scrap a campaign to highlight successful people who went through the public school system ? owing to a lack of nominations.
The Ministry of Education planned to kick off the annual education conference and expo next Friday with the One Best of Bermuda Awards Ceremony honouring prominent public school graduates.
But the Ruth Seaton James Centre ceremony has been scrapped after organisers received few nominations.
Senior Education Officer Maxine Esdaille, who chaired the organising committee, yesterday expressed thanks to those who did send in a nomination.
The annual education conference and expo slated for Saturday, October 23 at CedarBridge will go ahead as planned. It begins at noon.
