Police raided a sailboat moored off Barr?s Bay Park in Hamilton yesterday evening in what understands was a drugs investigation linked to Tuesday?s raid at a Court Street shoe shop.
Officers boarded the 15-foot boat at around 5 p.m. in what sources later revealed to be a search related to that mounted at Tuff Shoes on Tuesday morning. The earlier operation is understood to have involved officers from the Police Financial Investigation Unit who may be working on a drugs inquiry.
Police spokesman Dwayne Caines had declined to release any information about the Court Street incident, and remained equally tight-lipped about the Barr?s Bay raid, saying only that it was carried out ?in furtherance of a search warrant.?
