A mini bus service to Southside will stop operating as of today because it is not being used by enough passengers to make it viable.

In its place the No. 6 bus that serves St. George?s and St. David?s will now incorporate the mini bus? Southside run into its route, the Public Transportation Board has announced.

Dan Simmons, PTB director, said the mini bus was being withdrawn because of ?very low rider-ship? and its route would now be taken up by the No. 6 bus service.

During the cruise ship season a supplemental bus service will be provided for St. George?s cruise ship passengers to visit Clearwater Beach.
