Students to get career advice with their tickets

Bermuda students intending to further their education overseas are being encouraged to pick up a new booklet that lists resources open to them to assist their future careers.

And in a link up between a leading travel agent and Government the new publication will be given to all the Island's overseas students when they book airline tickets with C-Travel.

Minister of Community Affairs & Sports Dale Butler announced the collaboration with C-Travel that will see a new Workforce Empowerment Resources publication distributed to students when they book their air tickets.

The publication contains information on employers, Government services, career planning; counselling services, development organisations, employment services and advice and financial assistance.

Mr. Butler said information listed in the publication has been designed to benefit all young people and he encouraged the Island's students who will be travelling overseas for further study, to ensure they pick up a copy so that they will be aware of all of the resources available in Bermuda that can assist them in their future career paths.

And thanking C-Travel for their support, he said: "I am delighted that C-Travel has agreed to partner with us in distributing the Workforce Empowerment Resource."

The publication will also be distributed to middle and high school students. Copies, as well as other resources for young people, are available on CURE's website at www.cure.bm
