Tickets for the Bermuda Tattoo are now on sale at various locations across the Island.

Tickets will be available from noon at the Bermuda Library on Queen Street in Hamilton and daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Warwick Camp and the Maritime Museum.

The Bermuda Tattoo was inspired by Bermuda?s much lauded involvement in the 2003 Edinburgh Tattoo and will not only cap off the Regiment?s 40th year but also commemorate Bermuda?s quincentennial in high style.

Over two evenings ? this Friday and Saturday ? and before a total expected audience of 4,800, the Tattoo will showcase eight bands and dance troupes, including the band and bugles of the British Light Division.

The evening includes a rendition of the 1812 overture, complete with cannonade, and a majestic fireworks display.

The 36-piece Jamaican Defence Force Band and the 50 performers of the Amalgamated Metropolitan Toronto and Ottawa Police Pipes and Drums will also be performing alongside Bermuda?s Regiment Band and Corps of Drums and the Bermuda National Gombey Troupe and Steel Pan, played by Robert Symonds. Canada?s Schiehallion Dancers will also be visiting the Island for the event.

Members of the public are encouraged to take part in the celebrations and tickets can also be bought online at www.boxoffice.bm. The public has been asked to take note, however, that no tickets will be on sale at the gates on either night.
