That?s not lady-like behaviour, woman who swore at Police told
A teenager apologised in court yesterday for swearing at a Police officer after they stopped her when she was riding a motorbike in Hamilton. Sade Brown-Rogers, 19, marred her previously clean record when she was pulled over for a traffic offence in the early hours of Saturday morning and then swore at a Policewoman in Bermudiana Road, telling her: ?F** you, you f****** black b****.?
Appearing in Magistrates? Court, Rogers, of Constance Crescent, Warwick, pleaded guilty to using offensive language.
At 3.20 a.m. on October 14 Police were on patrol on Bermudiana Road when they saw Rogers riding a motorbike and stopped her for committing an alleged traffic offence, said Crown counsel Cindy Clarke.
The court heard Rogers swore at one of the officers and was arrested. In court she pleaded guilty to using offensive language in public and was fined $250 by Magistrate Edward Bailey. Rogers said: ?I apologise to everybody.?
Mr. Bailey told her: ?You are a young lady but that was not lady-like behaviour.?
Rogers also admitted riding an unlicensed motorbike, for which she was fined $250, and to disobeying a traffic signal, for which she was fined $100.
