Three popular Christmas season plants that are currently in short supply across the Island have been stolen from a property in Woodlands Road, Pembroke.
An unknown culprit gained access to a garden shed and stole three poinsettia plants. The theft was reported to the Police at 9 p.m. on Monday.
Because of an infestation of bugs on import shipments this year Bermuda is experiencing a shortage of the flowering festive shrubs, which are mostly imported from the US and Canada and sell for between $25 and $70.
Police inquiries into the theft of the plants from the shed in Woodlands Road are under way.
