Harron Lee Powell Evans, 29, of Tills Hill, Pembroke, Akono Shakir Parsons, 23, of Deepdale Road Estate, Pembroke, and Davon Michael Marson, 27, of Happy Valley Lane, Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to attempted murder in June and a fourth man, Jamiko St. Clair Nole Gibbons, 23, of Happy Valley Road, Devonshire, denied assaulting Mr. Smith. Their bail was extended. All four men will be tried together on May 2, 2006 and were released on bail on Monday.

Jason Devon Dill, 20, of Frog Lane, Devonshire, who pleaded not guilty in August of possessing a loaded nine-millimetre gun will face trial on March 13, 2006.

Dill was also charged with assaulting Det. Con. Chris Sabean and violently resisting arrest on April 22 and his bail was extended. In the first of six new matters before the Supreme Court a Canadian citizen pleaded guilty to importing heroin, cocaine and cannabis this summer.

Ian James Mullen, 35, of Wincott Drive, Ontario, pleaded guilty to importing the drugs into Bermuda on July 9.

However, he pleaded not guilty to possessing the drug with intent to supply on the same date and time and Director of the Department of Public Prosecutions Vinette Graham-Allen asked for these three charges to remain on file.

Acting Chief Justice Norma Wade-Miller remanded Mullen to appear for his sentencing later this month.

In the same arraignments session, two American females denied importing cocaine to Bermuda.

Tonia Lavette Davis, 34, of New Jersey, and Rhonda Yvette Miller, 32, of Long Beach, California, denied importing and possession with intent to supply the drug on July 7.

The pair were remanded and will appear for mention on December 1.

Two homeless men denied three counts of robbery using personal violence on February 22.

Rudell Valentino Pitcher, 28, and Jamel Edward Fray, 31, denied robbing three different men of a total of $398.

Fray told the judge he wanted to plead guilty, but felt he had to plead not guilty.

Mrs. Justice Wade-Miller said the plea must be unequivocal so she would not accept a guilty plea under any other circumstances and the judge remanded both men to appear for mention in December?s arraignments session. David Antoine Trott, 21, of Broken Hill Lane, Sandys, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to Ashley Smith on January 7 and was remanded.

Paul Clarence Williams, 26, of St. Anne?s Road, Southampton, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Coleman Simons with the intent of robbing him, while armed with a knife on July 2.

Also appearing on Monday was another homeless man who admitted going on a stealing spree earlier this year.

Eugene Floyd Anderson, 43, pleaded guilty to six counts of stealing between March 22 and April 7. Anderson admitted to stealing a $2,500 Louis Vuitton handbag on March 22 and a $350 cellular phone, three handbags, four pairs of glasses and three chequebooks valued at $9,359 on April 4. Mrs. Justice Wade-Miller remanded Anderson to appear for mention on December 1.
