A second BIU meeting scheduled today for ferry workers will cause all ferries running after 7 p.m. to be cancelled.
Marc Telemaque, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Transport, said this was a routine meeting to discuss issues including the new ferry route to St George which will begin in summer 2006, crewing issues, and the infrastructure of the ports at Hamilton, Dockyard and St. George.
However, Minister of Tourism and Transport Ewart Brown said: "I am disappointed that these meetings have to continue to take place at the public inconvenience. Hopefully in the New Year that will change ? that's one of my prayers for the New Year."
