Wear yellow this Thursday

This Thursday, The Royal Gazette is inviting you to dig something yellow out of your wardrobe and let the sunshine in for Wear Yellow Day.

As part of Sunshine Week, this newspaper's A Right To Know: Giving People Power campaign wants Bermuda to bask in the colour of the sun and share in the feel-good factor of PATI.

Wear Yellow Day is your chance to show you too would like to see public access to information legislation tabled in Parliament in 2008.

If only for one day, we'd like to see the streets of Bermuda turned into a sea of yellow.

You don't have to go out and buy a garish pair of yellow trousers — though feel free if you want to — but a yellow shirt, blouse, shorts or even a tie will do.

If it's raining, pop into a store and snap up one of those budget yellow rainsuits; if it's hot, get yourself a yellow sun hat; if you're a secret PATI fan, wear yellow underpants.

And if you don't like yellow, just grin and bear it for the day and take heart that you don't live in Thailand where everyone dons yellow every Monday in honour of the king.

So on Thursday, March 20, say hello to yellow and walk on sunshine with The Royal Gazette.
