Where the parties stand on healthcare issues
If it wins Tuesday's General Election, the Progressive Labour Party has pledged to "reshape Bermuda by encouraging healthier lifestyles".
The PLP promises to introduce free dental coverage for seniors and the needy, and build and operate urgent care clinics at both ends of the Island.
It has pledged to set realistic goals to reduce heart disease and diabetes over the long-term by:
¦ dramatically increasing exercise and physical fitness for children
¦ continuing to develop wellness models for the community
¦ passing legislation to introduce labelling to healthy foods
¦ dramatically increasing scholarship funding for training of doctors and healthcare professionals.
The manifesto also states the PLP will enhance health insurance options for the people of Bermuda..
