A 21-year old woman was fined almost $4,000 in Magistrates' Court for multiple traffic violations.

Taneisha Powell, of North Shore Road, Devonshire, was in court for not having third party insurance and not licensing her car on two separate occasions ? October 4 and November 19, 2006.

Powell also pleaded guilty to speeding at 59 kph on October 1, 2006.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined Powell $750 for each incident without third party insurance and each incident of failing to license her car cost Powell $1,000.

Mr. Warner also fined Powell $220 for speeding.

The total of the fines was $3,720 and Mr. Warner gave Powell until March 13 to pay.
