In yet another road traffic accident which happened over the weekend, two men suffered non-life-threatening injuries after their motorcycle collided with a car.

Police attended the scene at around 4.05 p.m. on Friday at the junction of Middle Road and Longford Road in Warwick.

It appears the car was travelling west on Middle Road and the motorcycle was travelling in the opposite direction.

The vehicles crashed as the car attempted to make a right hand turn onto Longford Road.

The motorcycle rider, a 26-year-old Devonshire man suffered a chest injury, while his passenger, a 19-year-old Devonshire man sustained a head injury.

Both men were taken via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Meanwhile the driver of the car, a 47-year-old Sandys woman, sustained bruising to her right leg.

She was also treated at the hospital for her injury but was later released. The car and motorcycle were both extensively damaged.

Traffic was diverted away from the scene of the accident for around two hours. Police are investigating.

Police probe car fire

A car was destroyed after being engulfed in flames on Parsons Road in Pembroke over the weekend.

Around 4.20 a.m. yesterday Police attended the scene and found personnel from the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service already there, dealing with the fire.

The fire was eventually extinguished and its cause is under investigation by Police.

Motorcyclist injured

Police attended a reported road traffic collision at the junction of Harrington Sound Road and Paynters Road in Hamilton Parish involving a car and a motorcycle.

According to the Police report, the car was travelling east on Harrington Sound Road when the driver attempted to make a right hand turn on to Paynters Road and collided with the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 36-year old Sandys man, was taken to the King Edward Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatments for a broken right leg and facial injuries.

The driver of the car, a 46-year old Warwick man was not injured. The accident happened at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday.

Both vehicles received moderate damage. At press time, the Sandys man was in stable condition.

Harbour Road home burgled

Police attended a reported burglary at a Harbour Road, Warwick home on Thursday where the burglar stole electronics.

The complainant told Police between 11 p.m. on Wednesday and 7.30 a.m. on Thursday, a culprit entered his home and stole a 40 inch flat screen TV and a Dell laptop computer.
