Front Street will be closed to westbound traffic today as well as westbound traffic between Parliament Street and Queen Street and eastbound traffic between Queen Street and Burnaby Street.

The closures will take effect between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. to facilitate the movement of construction equipment, the Corporation of Hamilton announced.

Eastbound traffic will be diverted along Parliament Street, Reid Street and Queen Street, while westbound traffic will be diverted along Queen Street and Church Street.

The Corporation has chosen to do the repairs between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. to cause minimal disruption to traffic flow, local business and the general public.

They have extended their apologies to the motoring public for the inconvenience.
